  • On 28th April 2025, Dr. Sunita Devi (Ph.D. in Psychology), a lecturer in Rehabilitation Psychology, delivered an insightful session at the Institute of Home Science, University of Kashmir. Her lecture provided a structured introduction to research fundamentals, covering ideology, approaches, and essential concepts. She discussed critical aspects such as age, gender, hypothesis formulation, objectivity vs. subjectivity, systematic research design, population vs. sample size, research tools, data collection, analysis, and drawing conclusions. Dr. Devi also emphasized the importance of acknowledging limitations in every study, highlighted key ethical considerations, and introduced the basics of ethnographic research. The session offered a clear, sequential understanding of research for emerging scholars.

She emphasized that constant learning and curiosity are key drivers of success, stressing the importance of acquiring practical skills over mere degrees.

Faculty, staff, and students actively participated in cleaning the Institute’s porch and garden, ensuring proper disposal of waste in line with environmental guidelines.
