Insights into Banking: A Visit to SBI Lal Chowk

On 23rd October 2024, the M.Sc. Home Science students of the University of Kashmir visited the State Bank of India (SBI) branch at Lal Chowk, Srinagar, as part of an educational field trip. This visit aimed to provide students with firsthand exposure to the functioning of a financial institution. The students interacted with banking professionals and learned about various banking operations, financial management, and customer services. The experience offered valuable insights into the pivotal role of banking in economic growth and financial literacy, enriching their academic understanding of financial systems.
