Exploring the Golden Harvest: A Visit to Saffron Park

On 25th September 2024, the M.Sc. Home Science students of the University of Kashmir embarked on an educational field visit to the renowned Saffron Park at the India International Kashmir Saffron Trading Centre (IIKSTC), Dussu Pampore. This visit provided the students with an enriching experience to explore the cultivation and processing of saffron, Kashmir's golden treasure. Guided by experts, the students gained insights into the traditional and modern techniques employed in saffron production, fostering a deeper understanding of this valuable crop's role in agriculture, economy, and culture.
