Observation and Assessment Practical: Observation of Neonatal Reflexes in a Hospital Setting

This observation and assessment field visit was conducted on 18-05-2026 at Dr. Nazair's Clinic as part of the Human Development practical programme. The practical focused on the observation of neonatal reflexes in a clinical setting to understand their importance in the early physical and neurological development of newborn infants.

During the field visit, various neonatal reflexes including the rooting reflex, sucking reflex, Moro reflex, grasp reflex, and Babinski reflex were carefully observed under professional supervision. The activity provided practical exposure to developmental responses and reflex behavior in newborn babies, helping students gain a deeper understanding of infant growth and neurological functioning. The supportive and cooperative clinical environment contributed significantly to the successful completion of the observation and assessment practical.
