In 2024, the Institute of Home Science at the University of Kashmir organized a significant event focused on fostering electoral participation and awareness, known as the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program. This initiative aimed to engage and educate students and the wider community on the importance of participating in elections, emphasizing the fundamental role of informed and active citizenship in democratic processes. Through a series of informative sessions, workshops, and interactive activities, the SVEEP program sought to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools necessary to make informed electoral decisions.
