Assessment of Nutritional Status of Pregnant and Lactating Women



As part of our practical training, students of the 3rd semester, Batch 2024, embarked on a field visit to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Habak, Srinagar. The objective of this visit was to assess the nutritional status of pregnant and lactating women, gaining hands-on experience in evaluating their dietary needs and health outcomes.

Key Highlights:

- Assessment of nutritional status through anthropometric measurements and dietary surveys

- Understanding the importance of nutrition during pregnancy and lactation

- Identifying nutritional deficiencies and their impact on maternal and child health

- Developing skills in providing dietary counselling and guidance
