A practical session on Anthropometric Assessment was conducted on 6 November 2025 at the Kashmir University Model High School as part of the M.Sc. DCLN & FSCN, Institute of Home Science.

During this session, students carried out hands-on measurements of school-going children from Classes 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, focusing on key anthropometric indicators including:

• Height

• Weight

• Mid–Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC)

• Chest Circumference

• Body Mass Index (BMI)

This practical aimed to familiarize students with standard anthropometric techniques, improve proficiency in handling measurement tools, and enable accurate assessment of growth patterns in children. The collected observations will be further evaluated in the upcoming class as part of their practical assessment.
